Save the Frogs

I have heard of this a while ago, but since this is a huge issue, I think that other people should know about this. The worlds amphibian populations have been decreasing rapidly for quite some time now, and on February 29, 2008, a campaign to save the frogs of the world was launched. The name: Year
of the Frog. While some amphibians are still abundant, many are becoming endangered due to habitat destruction, climate change, pollution, and Batrachochytrium dedrobatidis (a type of fungus that slowly kills the frog and is easily spread through waterways). You can help the cause by learning as much as you can about amphibians, create an amphibian friendly environment in your yard by providing clean water, hiding places, and insects to eat. You can also try to keep the environment clean, conserve water wherever you can, reduce the use of fossil fuels, and by donating to your local wildlife conservation fund. Even small donations count towards having a healthier, more beautiful, diverse biome.
